Using AgentVerified

Last updated September 26, 2026. These terms cover the public lookup at agentverified.org and the two paid products for insurance agents: the claimed record and the agent page. By using the site or buying either product you agree to them.

1. What AgentVerified is

AgentVerified is an independent lookup of insurance agent license records. It is not a state department of insurance, not the National Insurance Producer Registry, not an insurance company, and not a government agency. It does not license, endorse, rate or recommend agents. The records shown come from state insurance regulators’ public files and public lookups, and from checks we run against those lookups. Each record says where it came from and when.

2. The records are the regulators’ records

We show what the state publishes, as published, with the date. A license can lapse, be suspended or be revoked after that date. The state’s own lookup is always the final word, and every record links to it. “Verified” on an agent page means that, on the date shown, a person at AgentVerified found the agent’s National Producer Number and the listed licenses active in the public record under the same name. It is not a guarantee of anything after that date and not an assessment of the agent’s quality.

3. Use of the site

The lookup is free for anyone checking an agent, one record at a time. You may not copy the register in bulk, scrape it, resell it, or use it to build a competing database or a marketing list. Automated access is limited and monitored. Do not use the site to harass anyone or to make decisions that the law says must be made from an official source.

4. Claimed records

An agent may claim the public record for their own National Producer Number after proving their identity, either by a code sent to a contact the state has on file for that number or by a license document a person reviews. A claimed record lets the agent add a photo, a name as they want it shown, a headline, contact details, languages and a service area, receive alerts about their licenses, and use a badge that links to the record. The agent controls only those additions; the regulator data is never edited. The claim costs the price shown at checkout, billed monthly or yearly by card through our payment processor, and continues until canceled. Cancel from the manage page at any time; the claim stays in effect until the end of the paid period, and nothing is refunded for the unused part of a period. If a claim turns out to be false, we end it, refund nothing, and may report it to the state regulator.

5. Agent pages

An agent page is a hosted page at agentverified.org with the agent’s profile, a contact form, and a verification record. It costs a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee, billed by card, and stays live while the monthly fee is paid and the license remains in good standing. A page goes live only after a person checks the license; if we cannot verify it, the setup fee is refunded in full and the monthly fee is never charged. Cancel by writing to us; the page comes down at the end of the paid month.

6. What you may not put on a claimed record or a page

Anything untrue, anything that misrepresents your licenses, lines of authority or appointments, anything that violates your state’s advertising rules for insurance producers, and anything unlawful. You are responsible for your own content and for keeping it current. We may remove content or end a claim or page that breaks these terms.

7. Corrections and removal

If a record is wrong, report it or email verify@agentverified.org. We check reports against the state’s official lookup and correct what we can; where the state’s file is the source of the error, we point you to the state. Because the records are public regulator data, we do not remove accurate license records at an agent’s request, but an agent may stop any outreach email from us at any time.

8. No warranty and limits of liability

The site and the products are provided as they are. We do not warrant that any record is complete, current or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made from it. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the site or a product is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Changes and contact
